Hike to the Hamberg: Panoramic Views and Natural Beauty in the Zillertal
The Hamberg, the local mountain of Stumm, is considered one of the most beautiful vantage points in the front Zillertal. From its summit, you not only have a breathtaking view over the Zillertal but also over the Alpbachtal, the Märsengrund, the Inntal, and even to Lake Achensee. A hike to this almost 2,100-meter-high mountain is a must for anyone who wants to enjoy the peace and beauty of nature away from the beaten path. The tour starts at the Almluft snack station, which is easily accessible by car. From there, you first follow the forest road until a hiking trail branches off to the right uphill.
Along this path, which leads through a nature trail that not only makes the ascent pleasant but also provides interesting insights into the region, you reach the Steinbergalm. From there, the path continues through treeless terrain to the summit of the Hamberg. Once there, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view.
The return route follows the same route that led you up. This offers the opportunity to experience nature and landscape again in a different light. The hike ends again at the Almluft snack station, where you can relax and unwind after a fulfilling day and end the day.
Klausenalm: Culinary Delights, Hospitality, and Musical Experiences in Nature
The hike starts at the toll parking lot at the Alpengasthof Breitlahner. From there, the path leads down to the bridge, where the Zemmbach is crossed. Then the route leads in a southerly direction through a short wooded area, slightly uphill into the picturesque Zemmtal. As soon as the path becomes level again and the wooded area is behind us, we reach the idyllic Klausenalm (1301 m).
The Klausenalm is a popular destination for walkers, locals, mountaineers, and climbers. Here, regional delicacies are served in a rustic atmosphere that delights every palate. Whether you are returning from a mountain tour from the Berliner Hütte or planning a hike to the Alpenrosenhütte and want to make a stopover for refreshments - the Klausenalm has something for everyone. A musical serenade by the Schwarzenstoan Koral makes the stay at the Klausenalm a special experience.
